shoe boxbag

I snuck out last night after putting The Sprout to bed and just couldn't pass these by...
You see, I'm starting to have nightmares about going back to school in the fall. Just over a month to go until my first day.
I like doing school work and loving all the classes I have signed up for and am excited to meet other Grad students but I am TERRIFIED about being hopelessly out of style and standing out like a sore thumb. I have never received an A+ in fashion but I think that I have been a little too relaxed in the fashion department this last year at home with The Sprout. Luckily the three of us will head to Miami in a short time and hopefully I'll be able to fashion watch and pick up a few closet must haves......any suggestions?

Don't you think ALDO deserves an A+ for their great design of a box/bag? I love how the little handle is both cute, handy and comfortable to carry.

Oh Miss!!! I can't fathom you sticking out like a sore thumb!!! Remember that Yves Saint Laurent says that fashion fades, but style is eternal......You have STYLE!!!

Oh honey, you can't get fashion tips for 'back to school' in Miami, because...well, Miami is Miami!

You'll be just fine the way you are - Grad School folks will only notice your pretty smile. xoxo the fan

I agree with The Fan... Miami is not for nice little Education grad students like us! It was full of... how shall I phrase this: clothes that would be good for a HOOKER!

Did The Fan ever mention that whilst we were shopping in Miami, I had to actually RETREAT from a store and sit on the curb with my head between my legs because the clothing was too sheer, too gaudy and too sparkly FOR MEEEEEE??? True story!

You might be okay if you get into a DIllard's department store but generally if you want to dress for a cocktail party/binge drinking festival/all night dance rave, Miami is your spot. Good luck!

The boots are cute! So is the box.

I've been lurking on your blog for a while (I'm a regular Saucy's Sprinkles reader). I decided I had to post a comment when you made this post about grad school. I am also a Ed grad student (In Regina). So...no worries on the fashion front, sweetie! When I walked into my first grad class I was also a little nervous about looking out of place. But to my surprise, my lulu yoga pants and hoodie were definetely the MOST fashionable items in the room! What classes are you taking?

p.s.

The Sprout is quite possibly the cutest little boy I have ever seen! And I teach PreK!

Hey Chantelle,
I am in Miami now (sitting on the beach front balcony of our hotel room) & there is some AMAZING shopping to be done here!! Check out this mall in Coral Gables: Village of Merrick Park
It is full of very beautiful stores for you & the little one! Tres chic....nothing tacky in this place! We did some damage there yesterday!

Enjoy Miami & don't forget your sunscreen! We have been bathing in spf 70+ since the uv index the last few days has been 11(extreme)
